Chalet in Big Bear

Moreno Pines Chalet, Newly Renovated, Walk to NF!

1200 ft² • Entire Place • 6 guests • 2 bedrooms • 5 beds • 2 bathrooms

Sugarloaf is a community that feels more "off the beaten path" and not as well-known as other areas of Big Bear. Since we are only footsteps away from the national forest and don't have neighbors across the street, we feel like we are isolated from all the busy traffic, loud noises and chaos that comes with a popular vacation destination especially during the peak season months. Our access to the trail system is phenomenal and our neighbors are amazing. Welcome to Moreno Pines Chalet, our perfect getaway from the LA grind. We have worked so hard to ensure our cabin is fully furnished and incorporated with everything that our guests would need during their stay. Our cabin is a spacious 1200 square feet with 2 beds / 2 baths and offers plenty of room for a group of 6 people. Our front porch has two comfortable, sturdy rocking chairs to sit in and enjoy the mountain air and landscape. Our inviting living room has a natural rock woodburning fireplace, a TV with Roku, entertainment console with games and a comfy sofa that folds out into a queen bed. You'll love sitting on the sofa in the mornings drinking coffee, tea or whatever gets you moving and looking out the front windows at the trees with its snow fall in the winter or the extra green that emanates the rest of the year. The downstairs has a fully equipped kitchen, a full bath and a full-size laundry room with brand new high-capacity washer and dryer. Upstairs a hallway connects the two bedrooms with a spacious full bathroom in between that is also ensuite to the master bedroom. The master bedroom is furnished with a king bed, bedside lamps that have USB ports, a workspace with a desk and chair, large sliding door closet with hangers, dresser, and a smart TV with Roku. That bedroom has a view of the national forest. The second bedroom is designed for adults and kids. It has a queen bed, and the bunk is single. It also has a large sliding door closet with hangers and a dresser and a smart TV with Roku. Another perfect chill out spot after enjoying the great outdoors. Our Top Favorite Nearby Locations: .5 miles from Kallans Bar and Grill (can walk there) 5.6 miles to the Alpine Pedal Path Trail (walk or bike path) 5.7 miles to Vons 5.9 miles to Get the Burger 6.9 miles to Summit Mountain 7 miles to Big Bear Alpine Zoo 7.2 miles to Grizzly Manor Cafe (breakfast) 7.5 miles Cafe Crepe (take it to go) 8 miles to Bear Mountain 8.4 miles to The Village 10 miles to North Shore Cafe (Breakfast) Our cabin is right next to the national forest and there is a great sledding spot we enjoy a short walk away. Also perfect during the summer to explore and enjoy nature walks. We have been looking for our perfect cabin in Big Bear since summer of 2019 and we finally found it this winter 2022. We absolutely love and adore our home and the location we are in and can't wait to share all the amenities, beauty and warmth of it with you. Home rules

No parties or events. No pets. No smoking. We ask guests to treat our home respectfully. Below are some rules we ask you to follow to keep the place in great condition so that other guests have an enjoyable experience too. -->Always refer to the House Manual first before doing anything for guidance if you have questions relating to the cabin and its different systems and amenities. -->There are fees associated with excessive messes that our cleaning crew has to clean. We will send photographic proof and the invoice through Airbnb accordingly. -->Empty all trash in the home and put it in the garbage receptables. Our cleaner charges extra for this service. -->If you used the coffee machine leave the lid up to dry out so it doesn't develop mold. Same too with the water kettle, empty it out and let it dry with the lid open. -->Leave the washing machine door open after washes to dry out and prevent a moldy smell. -->Load and turn on the dishwasher before you leave. -->Our fireplace servicer has told us some crazy stories about how guests can be careless due to their inexperience with fireplace safety and usage. Be extra careful when operating the fireplace. Please refer to the House Manual. Better safe than sorry. -->We don't don't allow guests to chop wood and bring it into our cabin. It risks bringing in pests and creating a significant mess that you may have to pay extra for to clean since our cleaners charge extra for fireplace clean up. There are many stores in the area where you can purchase wood. -->Notify us of all issues right away so that we can schedule support and vendors to respond quickly as needed. We want to do all we can do, within fair minded reason, to earn your 5-star rating. -->Our cabin has central heat only. We set/lock the nest thermostat at a temperature from 55 to 78. Gas is incredibly expensive so in order to keep your nightly rate low we have to keep it at this temperature range. -->Put all furnishings back into their original position before leaving to include all remotes. Do not take anything from the cabin that isn't yours. -->There are family, friends and other guests with allergies who use our cabin. For that reason we can't accommodate pets.
